Work in Progress: My First Quilt

I finished the top of this small quilt last night. It's made up of 25 squares (5") I cut from used huipiles. I'm pretty pleased with how they lined up - not too crooked! :)

Now it's time to work on putting the back and binding...

Oh my gosh, that is so beautiful! I haven't seen fabric like that. What will you use for the backing?

Congrats! Isn't quilting fun? :)

I hand-sewed a quilt, which took a couple years, since I didn't work on it very regularly. It was supposed to wind up twin sized, but I got tired and did one less row lengthwise. I love to wrap it around myself on cold night, when I'm sitting on the couch watching tv. :)
